The following are products which will become available with the rollout of Adobe Creative Suite 3. We anticipate this rollout during the week of August 18th.
The information below provides a description of each software package with links to help documents. Please note: Some tutorials have not been updated (or developed) yet; please check back as the support pages will be updated frequently. |

Adobe Acrobat® 9.0 Professional

This product is used for the creation and manipulation of PDF documents. Acrobat® Professional 9.0 is NOT to be confused with Acrobat® Reader (Acrobat® Reader simply views PDF documents). Acrobat® 9.0 Professional can be used to create simple documents, forms and even advanced geospatial maps. |

Adobe Dreamweaver® CS3

Dreamweaver® is a WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) web page editor. From simple web page creation and editing to more advanced features that support multiple programming languages. |

Adobe Photoshop® CS3 Extended

| |
Photoshop® is Adobe's photo and image editing software. You can create, edit and manipulate almost any image file. You can also easily create web photo galleries with Photoshop®. |

Flash® is used in the creation of online animation, video creation and other online interactive programs. Flash® is an advanced software tool that can enhance the visual appearance and interactivity of your website. |

Mainly used by graphic artists, this software allows for the creation of logos, graphics, and allows for the conversion of bitmap imagery into vector art. |

Adobe Fireworks® CS3

Fireworks® is a bitmap and vector graphics editor. This product is similar to Adobe Illustrator®. Fireworks® offers a slightly better integration with Dreamweaver®. |

InDesign® is Adobe's successor for PageMaker®. This software is for the creation and laying out of periodical publications, poster, and print media. |

Adobe Bridge CS3

The main purpose of Adobe Bridge is to link the parts of the Creative Suite together. Bridge can be used to batch rename images and it also has many other organizational utilities. Bridge allows for the digital editing of images in the RAW format. |

Adobe Version Cue® CS3

| |
Version Cue® enables users to track and manipulate file metadata, which is information about the history of computer files, such as the fact that one file is a new version of a related older file. Version Cue® also automates the process of collaboratively reviewing documents among groups of people. |

Device Central integrates parts of the Creative Suite together to offer an easier way to preview and test Flash Lite, bitmap, web, and video content for mobile devices. |

Acrobat Connect™ is used to create information and general presentations, online training materials, web conferencing, learning modules, and user desktop sharing. The product is entirely Adobe Flash® based. |

Adobe GoLive® was an HTML editor and web management software tool. Adobe GoLive was discontinued in April 2008. |

Adobe Contribute® CS3
|

Contribute® is primarily used by non-programmers as it uses a WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) environment which allows users to keep websites edited and updated with content.
Contribute® is not automatically installed with the Adobe CS3 Software Suite. It may be installed on your office computer if you plan to use it. Please enter a Help Desk ticket to request the installation.
