Every registered student will automatically have an email account and network account created for them within 2 weeks of scheduling courses.
University policy requires students to use and maintain their MyMail account as it is an official means of communication. There is no way to configure MyMail to forward university mail to another email account.
Note: You may configure another email client to check your MyMail. In addition, you may setup devices (PDAs, smart phones) to check your mail. Visit the configuration page for instruction!
It is very important that you know your MyMail user ID and password. You need these to log into lab and classroom computers!
Log into MyMail using:
Your user ID. In most cases, this consists of your first initial, middle initial, and the first 6 characters of your last name. Example: Student Linda J Johnson's user ID would be ljjohnso. (To verify your student user ID, you may visit the student directory lookup page.) Look yourself up in the database and you will find your user ID (the information in front of the @ sign.)
Your password. (See note below if you don't know your password.)
NOTE: Your user ID and password can be found in STINF under the "Biographical" button. Log into STINF using your student ID and 4-digit PIN number. (Your PIN number can be found on your bill.)
If you don't know your PIN number to log into STINF, please visit the Registrar's office in the Student Services Center. You may also call the Registrar's Office at 570-389-4263 between the hours of 8:00 to 4:30 Eastern time for PIN assistance.
Your full email address (so others can email you) consists of your user ID followed by @bloomu.edu. Using the above example, Linda J Johnson's full email address would be ljjohnso@bloomu.edu.
For more detailed information on MyMail, including how to change your default password, please visit the links on the right side of this page, under the heading of Resource Materials.
For information on your student network account, what network drives are available to you and how much space you have to use, please visit this page on the Office of Technology's website: http://ot.bloomu.edu/Student/lablogon.php
