About Instructional Media Services

a

Instructional Media Services is located on the first floor of the McCormick Center for Human Services.  IMS provides a wide variety of audio/video equipment, facilities, and services to students for media projects or productions related to their approved class assignments.  These include video cameras, still cameras, audio recorders, television studios, non-linear editing suites, and media conversion/duplication services.

The staff is available to provide basic tutorials relating to the operation of equipment or facilities that students need to complete class projects.

Additionally, IMS creates, acquires, schedules, and distributes daily television programs through BUTV (local cable channel 8).  Students who wish to have their original programs aired must submit them to the manager for approval.

We also provided a wide array of equipment and services to faculty and staff of the university.  These include laptop computers, data/video projectors, digital cameras, video cameras, televisions, DVD/VHS players, transparency projectors, slide projectors, projection screens, and audio recorders.

The professional staff offers consultations in the evaluation, specification, and purchase of media technologies used in the delivery of instruction.

To request equipment or services, make a selection on the right. For more information please contact us through the information above.
