Office 2007 Compatibility Pack – By installing the Compatibility Pack, Office 2003 users will be able to open, edit and save files using the new Office 2007 file formats.

Software on University Computers - Every university computer comes installed with a full suite of Microsoft Office software. You will find these listed under the Start menu. Click on Start; choose Desktop Software and you will see the following choices: Access, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Publisher, Word, Visio.

At Home Use - The PASSHE Microsoft Campus Licensing Agreement maintains the Work at Home (WAH) licensing rights to install Microsoft Windows Vista, Office 2007 or Office Mac on faculty and staff home computers.  The agreement requires faculty or staff to purchase the media at the very nominal cost of $8.00 per product and sign a Microsoft Campus Agreement Work at Home Acceptance Form.  The University Bookstore will stock copies of the products and handle the acceptance form.  The Office of Technology Help Desk can no longer provide WAH installation discs for faculty and staff as previously. 

Tips to research on your own!

* Visit the Help feature within the software program you are using. Click on the blue ? icon in the top bar of whatever program you are using. This will open the Help feature. Many help topics will appear. In addition, you may enter your own search words to do in-depth searching.

* Visit the Microsoft assistance webpage which also offers many useful tutorials and articles at http://office.microsoft.com ~ you will see all the Microsoft products listed under "Browse Assistance." Choose the software you wish to research and begin exploring!

* Microsoft offers many self-paced training tutorials. Visit the course offerings by clicking on this link.
